Is This For You?

Is This Farm Tour For You?

This is not a theme park and not a lecture. It is two unhurried hours on a working organic farm, where children and adults observe, ask questions and take part at nature's pace. You do not need to know anything about farming. Curiosity is a good place to start.

This farm tour is for you if you...

  • Want your children to see where food really comes from, not just where it is sold
  • Are looking for an outdoor activity near Valencia that works for mixed ages, grandparents included
  • Prefer a small, hands-on visit to a crowded attraction
  • Like the idea of going home with something you picked yourself

From the grove to the glass

Two Hours to Explore, Pick and Unwind

A relaxed visit with four parts: welcome, explore, pick and enjoy. Allow around two hours in total, including time to move between activities, ask questions and take in the surroundings.

  1. Welcome to EkkoFarm

    around 10 minutes

Meet your host and hear a little about EkkoFarm, our story and what we have planned for your visit. It is a chance to settle in, get to know the group and enjoy a relaxed start to the visit.

  2. Explore the pomegranate grove and the farm

    around 30 minutes

Take a gentle walk through the pomegranate grove and other areas of EkkoFarm. Along the way, discover how our pomegranates grow, how we care for them organically and how the farm has evolved. There is plenty of time to look around, ask questions and learn a few surprising facts about the fruit.

  3. Pick your own harvest

    around 30 minutes

Learn how to recognise a ripe pomegranate and cut it carefully from the branch without damaging the tree. Then it is your turn to pick, choosing the fruit you would like to take home. Children and adults can enjoy harvesting together, with guidance along the way.

  4. Enjoy fresh juice and time in nature

    around 30 minutes

Watch as we press the freshly picked pomegranates, then settle down with a glass of juice and enjoy the surroundings. There is time to chat, relax and savour what you have harvested together. Each family takes home 1 kg of pomegranates, with extra fruit available at €3 per kg.

What You'll Discover and Take Home

The whole visit is built around one idea: by the time you leave, your family will know where a pomegranate comes from, how to tell when it is ripe and what a fresh one tastes like.

  • How pomegranates grow on an organic farm and why we grow them without chemicals
  • How to spot a ripe pomegranate and harvest it carefully
  • A few facts about the fruit you probably did not know
  • How to open, deseed and enjoy pomegranates at home

You take home: 1 kg of pomegranates per family, picked by you, plus extra kilos at €3 each if you want to stock up.
